About
Hakiem Waleed Ahmed is a filmmaker specialising in production design with interest in writing and directing. He has done production design work on two short films and directed two short films. One was a fiction film called Afsana, an award-winning short about a bride getting second thoughts on her wedding day. As well as this he has experience in other fields, such as colour grading and production sound.
Hakiem is from Birmingham but moved to Leeds to study filmmaking. Coming from a rich cultural background, he takes great interest in films revolving around his culture as well films about other cultures and peoples. He has a background in fine art, and is proficient in graphics software, such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
